Please note. To be a barber that your community takes seriously, you’ll have to be on your way to obtaining your license. This is the easy part. We help you find the right school that’s for you. Our staff has experience with offering you the schools that welcome students and get you on your way. Being an apprentice can prepare you for the Barbering journey. If you decide on a different career, we can help with that as well. Our mission is to get you in a position to make a living.
THE APPRENTICESHIP EXPERIENCE
Learn. Shadow. Practice. Grow.
Participants are introduced to the barbering profession in a supportive environment where they can learn from experienced professionals.
The apprenticeship experience may include:
Shadowing experienced and licensed barbers
Barbering fundamentals and hands-on skill development
Clippers, tools, sanitation, and workstation preparation
Customer service and client communication
Professional appearance and workplace etiquette
Barbershop operations and business fundamentals
Mentorship and career guidance
Preparation for employment and continued professional development
Participants don't simply learn how to cut hair. They begin learning what it takes to become a professional barber.
FROM RE-ENTRY TO READINESS
The Road Forward Takes More Than a Job.
Returning to the workforce can come with obstacles. Our program is designed to help participants address those challenges while developing the confidence, preparation, and skills necessary to move forward. Support may include resume development, professional attire, interview preparation, mentorship, employment readiness, intervention services, career planning, and connections to additional community resources. We meet participants where they are while helping them work toward where they want to be.
DRESS FOR THE OPPORTUNITY
Confidence Starts Before the Interview.
Being prepared means looking prepared, feeling prepared, and knowing that you belong in the room. Participants can receive assistance with professional attire, grooming, resumes, interview preparation, and workplace expectations. Because sometimes the first step toward changing your future is seeing yourself differently.
TOOLS FOR THE TRADE
Opportunity Shouldn't Stop Because You Don't Have the Equipment. Beginning a new career can be expensive. Our program works to reduce that barrier by helping participants gain access to the essential barbering tools and resources needed to begin developing their craft. From clippers and barbering equipment to training materials and professional guidance, we want participants focused on learning their trade—not worrying about how they'll afford the opportunity.
